The RS 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

Here are Rolling Stone's picks for the 500 greatest albums of all time, with a check-box to help me keep up with the ones I still need to collect. The list was originally posted at http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5938174/the_rs_500_greatest_albums_of_all_time, Nov 18, 2003.

A philosophical quibble here:  Box sets and complications?  I really don't think that box sets belong here. Albums are snapshots of a time in history which, when viewed as a collage, depict the history of modern music. A greatest hits collection is more about and individual artist--not so much what I care about. Rather than checking off the Hank Williams collection, I'd prefer to collect his albums.

So far, I've got 86 of 500 (17%). Check 'em off if you like. The boxes only work for me :)
