Pensive Woman in Oriental Dress, Jean Baptiste Camille Corot (1879)

I saw this painting at the Shelburne Museum.  Magnificent, really.

By all accounts, it dates to 1879, four years after the death of Corot.  Go figure.  Apparently there are lots of Corot forgeries.  I'll see what Shelburne Museum has to say....
